What To Expect

The Clan Reunion Weekend is approaching fast. Here is a simple summary of what you can expect and plan for when you join the celebration.

Sunday, August 11th – Reunion Celebration

3:00 PM to 9:00PM

Our Reunion celebration is being held outdoors in the pavilion at the West Side Irish American Club (8559 Jennings Road, Olmsted Township). The pavilion is an expansive covered space that will accommodate all of our large family. It is surrounded by playing fields for sports and games.

The Reunion celebration is being sponsored by the generosity of the Boomer generation of our clan. There will be no cost to attend the Sunday celebration.

  • Dinner and drink will be provided at no cost.
    • Barbecued Chicken, Roasted Chicken, Barbecued Pulled Pork, Vegetable Lasagna in Alfredo Sauce
    • Baked Mac & Cheese, Oven Roasted Potatoes, Redskin Potato Salad, Garden Tossed Salad
    • Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-Free options will be available
    • Water, Sparkling Water, Juice Boxes, Beer & Wine
  • Games will be organized for children of all ages (sack races, corn hole, etc)
  • Simple crafts table for the artist in all of us
  • We will continue on from our Saturday Night Live event and have encore performances of music, dance and stories.

Saturday, August 10th – Reunion SNL

4:00 PM to 10:00PM

On Saturday night we will gather for our Saturday Night Live event at Sibling Revelry Brewing Co , a family friendly pub and craft beer brewery (29305 Clemens Road, Westlake). We have reserved a private room for the Clan talent festivities. Family members will be sharing music, dance, comedy and family stories. This evening and the pub is open to all ages.

Saturday, August 10th – Reunion Golf Outing

10:00 AM Tee Off Time

On Saturday morning we will be hosting the 3rd Annual Jim Sweeney Memorial Golf Outing at the Big Met Golf Course in the Cleveland Metroparks. This event is intended to be a social outing with no rules — each foursome will decide how they wish to play (i.e. scramble, best ball, etc.).

  • We have reserved tee off times for 5 foursomes (20 players total)
  • Number of holes, 9 or 18, to be played will be decided by each foursome
  • Tee off time is 10 AM
  • Each player is responsible to his/her own green fees – $45 for 18 holes

Sunday, August 11th – The Rock Mass of the Month

9:00 AM

This Catholic mass is part of the series, “The Rock Mass of the Month”, offered by AM 1260 The Rock and broadcasted on the radio. The Rock Mass of the Month is coincidentally being held at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church on Rocky River Drive in Westpark, the same parish where so many of our parents and grandparents attended as children. The mass is not directly tied to our reunion but family members may wish to attend in memory of our family members who belonged to the “Greatest Generation”.
